Hi everyone

Do we want people to praise us for a task we performed (perhaps our small group leader asked us to do something for the evening, or our youth leader asked us to perform a task – do we then seek to be acknowledged for it; especially in front of others so that they can see what a great job we did?
Do we want to be esteemed by man?
Do we seek to put up a tent to fill thousands so that our name can be made great?
Are we seeking adoration or the applause of people because “we” preached a good sermon … preaching in such a way as turning people’s attention onto us – boasting of “our” spiritual experiences ?
… Do we see seek recognition from others for doing something for God?

At first glance I’m sure many will say: “no, that’s not me, I do everything for the Glory of God” … now that’s the first thought that’ll probably cross most Christians minds … but let’s examine that for a moment
