God is calling us to Arise in Him

Good day While in prayer now, the word "Arise" came up. To arise in His might and strength. To arise in His peace. To arise in His love, grace, mercy and forgiveness towards us, and allowing it to work in us and through us. To arise in our identity and who we are in Him. To arise in His calling on our lives. To arise in His perspective on what matters while on the Earth. But to do so not in our own efforts, willpower or self discipline - but to do so in, and through, His grace and empowerment. Like someone carrying another on their back, God is encouraging us to arise - but not in our strength, ability or might - but in Him (allowing Him to lift us up, hold us and carry us onward). ‭Ephesians 6:10 AMP‬ In conclusion, be strong in the Lord [draw your strength from Him and be empowered through your union with Him] and in the power of His [boundless] might. ‭Isaiah 40:28-31 AMP‬ Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of...

You're a Child of God

Good day In today’s message I’d like to discuss the similarities between being a parent and God being a Father to His children, and the encouragement we can draw from this. The bible refers to God as our Father (1 Corinthians 8:6, Ephesians 4:6, Isaiah 64:8, John 14:9-11, Matthew 6:26) and in the following passages we can see that we are called His children: I John 3:1 (NKJV) - Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Galatians 4:4-7 (NLT) - But when the right time came, God sent his Son, born of a woman, subject to the law. God sent him to buy freedom for us who were slaves to the law, so that he could adopt us as his very own children. And because we are his children, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, prompting us to call out, “Abba, Father.” Now you are no longer a slave but God’s own child. And since you are his child, God has made you his heir. Consider for a moment how a baby is totally dependent on the ...

Are you important?

Most definitely! Good day It's true that what we believe about ourselves is important because it affects our self-confidence. This influences our actions/habits and can affect what we can and cannot accomplish in life... And for this particular message, what I believe God is directing me to share with you, is that your importance has been predetermined. What this means is that before you could have any thoughts or opinions about yourself, God had already determined the truth about who you are and what you're able to achieve through Him! God, our Creator. The Creator of life. The One who set this universe into motion. The One who calls us His Father. The One who gave His life for us in the person of Jesus Christ... This God - has already spoken over us and made His thoughts and intentions known to us! This means that my relevance or my importance shouldn't have to be defined by my outlook or opinion, nor any negative thoughts I may have about myself or what others may say ab...

You are VALUABLE to God

Good day When it comes to the value of a painting, a few of the major influences in the price is the quality of the painting, the reputation of the artist and the sentimental value someone places on it. For the most part the canvas (paper) used is generally very similar to any other, the same could be said for the quality and variety of the brushes and paint. The point I'm trying to make is that, when it comes to determining the value of the painting, there's nothing overly significant about the raw materials that influences the price but rather how much someone is willing to pay for it. Similarly, there's nothing significant that sets us apart from others. What influences our worth as human beings is the fact that our value has already been determined by our Creator. He valued our lives so much that He purchased us with the precious blood of Christ (Matthew 20:28, 1 Peter 1:18,19). A price that no one can match! I don't know what value your parents, school teachers, sp...

You are Worth it!

Good day You can tell the value/worth that someone places on something by what they're prepared to exchange/swap for that item, or by what they're prepared to pay for that item. John 3:16‭-‬17 NLT “For this is how God loved the world: He gave His one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent His Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through Him." I John 4:9‭-‬10 NKJV In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation (payment) for our sins. 1 John 3:1 AMPC "See what [an incredible] quality of love the Father has given (shown, bestowed on) us, that we should [be permitted to] be named and called and counted the children of God! And so we are!..." God saw us and wanted to have a relationship with u...

His Strength is available

Good day I believe God wants you to know this day that strength is available to you! 1 Samuel 30:1-6 Now it happened, when David and his men came to Ziklag, on the third day, that the Amalekites had invaded the South and Ziklag, attacked Ziklag and burned it with fire, and had taken captive the women and those who were there, from small to great; they did not kill anyone, but carried them away and went their way. So David and his men came to the city, and there it was, burned with fire; and their wives, their sons, and their daughters had been taken captive. Then David and the people who were with him lifted up their voices and wept, until they had no more power to weep ... Now David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and his daughters. But David strengthened himself in the Lord his God. I don't know if you've faced a similar challenge my friend, where your home has been burnt down,...

Are you Qualified?

Good day When we apply for a job our CV is filled with our past experience, skills and education in an attempt to get an interview - at which we need to convince the recruiter and hiring manager that we're capable of doing the job so that we can be accepted. With God however, He doesn't look to our experience, skills or education before deciding whether or not He's going to employ us for a specific task or assignment...It doesn't matter where we live, what salary we earn, what job title we have, where we work or what we do, etc - we have all been equally "employed"/accepted by the Most important "boss" of them all ... Our Heavenly Father. What an amazing honour we have ... Nevermind being asked to do something of importance by your manager or the manager above them ... Nevermind being asked to do something for the CEO or president/prime minister of a country ... We've been asked/accepted by the highest authority and Ruler of them all. What an a...

Worth the Investment

Good day I was just reflecting now on "investments". How people do their due diligence to ensure that they will get a return on investment and assess whether it's worth the risk or not before deciding they're going to invest, and how even after having invested, they would continually review that investment and see when best to cash it in/sell. The amazing thing about God and His love towards you is that He thought you were worth investing in! People can so easily cast others aside or give up on them but aren't you glad God never gives up on you - even when you want to give up on yourself! God saw us as worthy and valuable enough to take the risk of investing in us by sending His Son Jesus Christ to die for our sins and take our place of eternal punishment; offers us His Holy Spirit and makes His covenant of love available to us all because He felt we were worth it What thoughts are holding you back my friend from receiving and experiencing His love this day? What ...

It's not enough to know, we must believe as well

Good day What I believe the Holy Spirit wants to share today is for us to not only know, but believe , that God is good. I recently sent out emails about being at peace and believing in the goodness of God, and also about how the foundation we have is the love, goodness and mercy of God, but for today's message I want to emphasize that it's not just enough to know (by means of understanding only) that God is good, we have to believe it as well. For example, it's not enough for someone to know about Jesus, they have to believe in Him as well. It's like if someone was to explain everything they knew about Him, were able to recite His teachings or refer to passages in the Bible about Him, etc. but then never actually placed their faith in Him for their salvation, their knowledge of Him actually counted for nothing, so knowledge in and of itself is one thing but knowledge without believing doesn't count for anything. The below passage tells us that we must believe in th...

So Come!

Good day I'd just like to share the below encouragement: Hebrews 4:13‭-‬16 Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account. Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are —yet he did not sin. Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. Being tempted doesn't only mean being tempted to commit a sin (like being tempted to stop acting in love), it can also mean the temptation to give up (give up on a ministry, on church, on a goal, on someone, on ourselves). To become discouraged, lose hope, take on a negative perspective towards a situation (our jobs, our econo...

Is God good?

Good day While praying yesterday I believe the Holy Spirit wanted me to share scriptures stating that God is good. This may be for you or for someone else that you know who may need to be reminded of this. Someone once said, "When you can't trace His hand, trust His heart". Be encouraged this morning to know that God's heart and His intention towards you is one of goodness; don't allow any circumstance to dictate anything different to you. Trust in Him and take Him at His word today. He is Good, He is your God and He loves you! Mark 10:18 No one is good but One, that is, God. Matthew 7:11 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him! James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning. Psalm 25:8 Good and upright is the Lord. Psalm 33:5 He loves ri...

The Judge's decision is final

Good day Last night while praying the Holy Spirit showed me an illustration of a court case where a lawyer would present an argument to the court, backed up of course by evidence and witnesses, in an attempt to win the case and then the final outcome rests with the judge/jury to decide. What the Holy Spirit pointed out is that the devil is like a lawyer, God is like the judge/jury and that our mind (perspective of ourselves and our surroundings) is on trial. The devil will present his case with all sorts of false arguments or accusations about us. He may use evidence (whether true or false based on our past experiences). He may use witnesses (people that may have said negative things to us or about us) ... All in an attempt for us (not the judge) to see things through his perspective. To believe his lie, agree with him and to throw in the towel and accept defeat. But - the difference about this court is that the judge has already declared the outcome before the trial could even begin! ...

The Pot of food

Good day I trust you're doing well. I believe the Holy Spirit would like me to share the following illustration with you concerning a pot of food. In order for the pot of food to smell appealing and taste good it needs the right ingredients: It needs the right combination of ingredients, and sometimes in the correct order depending on the cooking time of each ingredient. It must be seasoned and stirred. It needs to be checked up on - it needs attention. If you're making it over a fire, then the coals need to be checked on. All together it must also be cooked for the correct amount of time. Sometimes it requires a taste to see if it's on the right track or if certain adjustments are required ... All in all, if you don't do these things, at best the pot of food will turn out mediocre or worse still, be completely ruined. The pot represents our city/country or it can represent our lives and everything it's made up of. The master chef that should be in control of the su...

Living in a sphere of God's Love

Good day Just want to share an encouraging message while in a time of worship: As covenant children of God, we live in, and are surrounded by, a sphere of God's love ; just like a hamster in a hamster ball,  so are we surrounded - continually - by God's love, faithfulness, protection, blessing, healing, mercy, encouragement, comfort, meaning, purpose, destiny, hope, faith, vision, anointing, wisdom, wholeness, peace, joy, restoration, deliverance and forgiveness (and everything else that His covenant relationship has to offer) ... no matter where we go or where we find ourselves, or even how we may be feeling in the natural at any given moment in time - know that we continuously and consistently live in this sphere with love written all over it! (God's love) Our job is to stay plugged into this sphere by faith, and this faith is strengthened through the word of God and prayer (time spent in His presence) Stay strong in God's love

Asking for Help!

Good day God wants you to know that you can come to Him for help and know that He WANTS to help you.   We often look down upon the idea of asking for help; like it's seen as a sign of weakness. We sometimes feel too shy or become embarrassed at the idea because we're afraid of what others might say about us or how they will perceive us going forward. We don't want to be made to feel inadequate or silly for asking so we keep silent instead. We want to prove (whether to others or to ourselves) that we can do it - that we can make it on our own! The problem here my friend is that we can often take a similar approach towards our relationship with God, where we don't instinctively to come to God in our time of need and request help from Him. The truth is that there's nothing wrong with asking God for help - in fact, the below passages indicate to us that God's help is available and freely accessible! James 1:5 If any of you is deficient in wisdom...

Accepting God's love - Part 2

(Continued) As I was preparing for the next email, I believe the Holy Spirit wants me to add a Part 2 to the message titled, "Accepting God's love". What I believe the Holy Spirit has highlighted is that there may have been certain people who struggled with the thought of God loving and accepting them, without it being based upon their performance; and that they firstly need to know that God is love and that He loves. Below are a few scriptures where the bible speaks with this subject: John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. Romans 5:8 But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 8:35-39  Who shall separate us from the love of Christ ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? As it is written, “For your sake we are being killed all the day lo...
