The Pot of food

Good day

I trust you're doing well. I believe the Holy Spirit would like me to share the following illustration with you concerning a pot of food.

In order for the pot of food to smell appealing and taste good it needs the right ingredients:

It needs the right combination of ingredients, and sometimes in the correct order depending on the cooking time of each ingredient. It must be seasoned and stirred. It needs to be checked up on - it needs attention. If you're making it over a fire, then the coals need to be checked on. All together it must also be cooked for the correct amount of time. Sometimes it requires a taste to see if it's on the right track or if certain adjustments are required ... All in all, if you don't do these things, at best the pot of food will turn out mediocre or worse still, be completely ruined.

The pot represents our city/country or it can represent our lives and everything it's made up of.

The master chef that should be in control of the success of this pot is God/the Holy Spirit. He knows exactly what, when and how to make the best smelling and tasting pot of food ever and He knows exactly what ingredients are required to see this happen.

He has given us most of these ingredients as found in the Bible and the rest He reveals through His Spirit, concerning decisions we need to take and concerning our specific role/function or assignment...but the point is that if you want the best pot, you need to trust the best chef... Are you the best chef when it comes to your pot? Or will you leave that up to the Expert?

For if your current ingredients aren't producing what you want... It's time to look to the One who does know.

Proverbs 3:5‭-‬6 AMPC
Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths.

Jeremiah 17:5‭-‬8 NLT
This is what the Lord says: “Cursed are those who put their trust in mere humans, who rely on human strength and turn their hearts away from the Lord .
They are like stunted shrubs in the desert, with no hope for the future. They will live in the barren wilderness, in an uninhabited salty land.

“But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence.
They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit.

Only God can produce what we seek, what we desperately yearn for and what we'll come to know truly matters above all else, Him.

It's time to hand over your pot to the true master chef. It's time to let go of your trust in your own self effort, self discipline, dependence on your own wisdom and knowledge that can only carry you so far and just come to the end of self and let God step in and take over. Your way might not be working, so try His.
Step over into His way of doing things and allow yourself to be transparent in His love...His way works.
The Creator of a thing understands its purpose better than anyone else and so too does God as our Creator and loving Heavenly Father.

Step over my friend and do it His way.

Amen
