Good day
I'd just like to share the below encouragement:
Hebrews 4:13-16
Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account. Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin. Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
Being tempted doesn't only mean being tempted to commit a sin (like being tempted to stop acting in love), it can also mean the temptation to give up (give up on a ministry, on church, on a goal, on someone, on ourselves). To become discouraged, lose hope, take on a negative perspective towards a situation (our jobs, our economy, our nation) ... Basically whatever is contrary to the word and will of God can be viewed as a temptation.
So why try and hide something from God? The verses above say that nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of Him to whom we must give account, so why shy away from our weaknesses or refuse to acknowledge it and bring it before Him (again, doesn't matter what the temptation may be, the verse says that He is able to empathize with our weaknesses), so instead of trying to sweep it under a carpet, He invites us to come boldly/confidently to His throne room to receive the help we need.
He says that He understands our weaknesses and HE invites us (He came up with the idea) ... He's telling us to come! ... To receive mercy and find grace! ... That regardless of what the temptation might be, there remains mercy and grace to help in our time of need.
So Come!
2 Corinthians 12:9,10
But He said to me, My grace (My favor and loving-kindness and mercy) is enough for you [sufficient against any danger and enables you to bear the trouble manfully]; for My strength and power are made perfect (fulfilled and completed) and show themselves most effective in [your] weakness. Therefore, I will all the more gladly glory in my weaknesses and infirmities, that the strength and power of Christ (the Messiah) may rest (yes, may pitch a tent over and dwell) upon me! So for the sake of Christ, I am well pleased and take pleasure in infirmities, insults, hardships, persecutions, perplexities and distresses; for when I am weak in human strength], then am I [truly] strong (able, powerful in divine strength).
Amen
