(Continued)
This can be in any area of ministry – let’s say you’re
one of the lectures that teaches at your church, one of the Sunday school
teachers, one of the musicians in the band, one of the small group leaders,
etc. – when the leader or pastor gives recognition to that person, perhaps
“praising” them for their efforts, saying what a great job they did - in front
of others, how they felt the presence of God when that person maybe spoke or
sang or taught or prayed, etc … and you feel you did just as good a job as they
did, perhaps better. That you’ve even been serving in the church longer than
they have. But you never got acknowledged for it as this person did – what
stirs up in your heart at that moment?
Because if we don’t respond by giving God the Glory –
realizing that we all working towards the same goal and purpose – same God –
all equally enlisted in His army so to say – all equal in where we stand in Him
in terms of what we have and our Righteousness that’s found through faith in
His Name – realizing that it’s the same Holy Spirit working in all and through
all for the Glory of God
Then my friend, we need to examine our motives and who
we’re actually serving in all this …
