Should I give in the Offering? - 3 - (20-01-2012)

(Continued)

Exodus 36:
3 … So they continued bringing to him freewill offerings every morning. 4 Then all the craftsmen who were doing all the work of the sanctuary came, each from the work he was doing, 5 and they spoke to Moses, saying, The people bring much more than enough for the service of the work which the Lord commanded us to do. 6 So Moses gave a commandment, and they caused it to be proclaimed throughout the camp, saying, Let neither man nor woman do any more work for the offering of the sanctuary. And the people were restrained from bringing, 7 for the material they had was sufficient for all the work to be done - indeed too much.

Look at the above passage -> the people brought so much that Moses had to tell them to stop bringing … imagine your pastor was to get up and tell the congregation to stop bringing because they were bringing too much!

My friend – ask God to make your heart willing to give in the offering – ask God to stir within you what it is He’d have you give, and perhaps to support other ministries as well, supporting missionaries and outreaches, etc – let’s not shy away when the pastor wants to take up an offering to plant another campus, to feed the poor, to support another ministry, to build better children’s church/Sunday school facilities, to extend the church building, etc. – because we’ll be obeying God when we do so, for He’s the One that came up with it J - He instituted it all!

So let’s be a part of building God’s Kingdom
