So
in this same manner, maybe you’re going through a process of preparation; but
there’s an appointed time in which God will release you into your calling, an
appointed time for when that word will come to pass.
However
… does that mean we just wait around for it to come to pass and do nothing in
the mean time? … If Jesus wasn’t prepared, do you think He could’ve
successfully fulfilled His assignment by just waiting for the right time for
things to be done, and not have prepared Himself for them?
Well
what does the Bible reveal to us concerning that period from the age of 12 till
the age of 30; was there anything to indicate that Jesus was in a process of
preparation?
Luke
2:52 says (and this is immediately after Him have returned home from the temple
at age 12), that He grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.
The next thing we see read about Jesus is that He’s a grown man. So between
that period, that’s all the bible says about Him growing up. But isn’t what’s
mentioned very significant! - That He grew.
Grew
implies it was continuous and progressive; so in order to grow in the scope of
those areas, He must’ve continuously and progressively have grown in good
judgement, good deeds, knowledge, understanding, insight, perspective, etc. (no
doubt it was His time spent in the temple and in the scriptures that brought
about that growth) … This all sounds to me like a process of preparation!
