The Process of Preparation - 5 - (23-02-2012)

(Continued)

The process of preparation takes time. This is where most people get irritated, frustrated, or tempted to give up.

A small seed becomes a giant tree – over time. A baby grows up to be an adult – over time. The building of a massive shopping complex becomes what it is – over time. People don’t accomplish their visions over night – but over time. God created the Heavens and the Earth – over time. All of God’s promises come to pass – over time.

So we must be patient with that word/promise God might’ve given us. Not get tempted to give up or give in. For He who Promised is Faithful! (Hebrews 10:23)

Did you also notice how patient God is with us? That no matter how much we mess up and make mistakes; He doesn’t give up on us. That His love towards us remains Faithful!
It seems as if God understands that progress and growth is something that takes time.

So we must learn to be patient with ourselves; with our progress and growth. All the while persevering and remaining consistent and obedient to the process of doing what we know we ought to be doing. (You know what God’s been laying on your heart to do). For it is God who works in you both to will and to do according to His good pleasure (Philippians 2:13); so He’s been speaking to you about what not to do and what to do.

And always, no matter how long it seems to take or whether you’re seeing results or not – Always remain confident of the fact that He who began a good work in you is Faithful to complete it until the day of Jesus Christ (Philippians 1:6)
