(Continued)
Look at the example of Herod in Acts 12 and what
happened to him when he didn’t give God the glory:
21 So on a set day Herod, arrayed in royal apparel,
sat on his throne and gave an oration to them. 22 And the people kept shouting,
The voice of a god and not of a man! 23 Then immediately an angel of the
Lord struck him, because he did not give glory to God. And he was eaten by
worms and died
We must never seek to be glorified for what God does
through us – because He’s the One that does it all!
… and He wants the Glory for it
Isaiah 42: 8
I am the Lord, that is My name; And My glory I will
not give to another, Nor My praise to carved images.
My friend, let’s have the perspective and heart that
says I’m going to rejoice when my brothers and sisters in Christ excel – in any
area for that matter … let’s know, truly know and believe, in our hearts, that
we all serving the same God – doing it all for His Glory – all of us dependent
upon His ability through us – upon His Grace and Mercy – knowing that He’s the
One doing it all through us, always – and that we rejoice therein – because
we’re all equally enlisted, and involved in building His church, giving Glory
to Him
