Increasing in the Anointing - 4

(Continued)

About 3 years ago I asked the Holy Spirit what I can do to live a life that’s more surrendered to Him, and He showed me 3 things:

The 1st lesson is to be in a state of quietness.

The bible says that Jesus said what He heard the Father say (John 12:50), and only did what He saw the Father do (John 5:19) … now how could He hear what the Father said if He wasn’t in a position where He purposefully paid attention to what the Holy Spirit had to tell Him, irrespective of where He was or what was going on around Him?

So many times we’re so busy going out; in the malls, in the shops, movies, out with friends having fun, etc. – that we get caught up in the moment and just enjoy ourselves … but never really consider what the Holy Spirit might want from us in that given moment of time – what if He might want us to speak to someone that’s standing around, pray for the waiter, bless someone who’s randomly shopping in the store … how will we know what He wants from us if we’re not in a position of quietness to hear what He has to say?

So the first lesson is for us to personally be in a position where we can be quiet; irrespective of where we are or what we’re doing and despite what’s going on around us … To purposefully be in a mental state of quietness so as to hear the voice and prompting of the Holy Spirit in the event that there’s something He requires of us.

So no matter where we are, or what activity we’re involved with, or who we’re around – We need to always be attentive to the voice of the Holy Spirit.
