Increasing in the Anointing - 7

(Continued)

The 3rd lesson is about tomorrow

This one has proven to be a bit more challenging in that it requires us to constantly practice lessons 1 and 2 … The lesson of tomorrow means that we don’t commit to doing something beforehand, without first asking God about it

So often, and I’ve often fallen into this, we commit to doing something and then regret that decision afterward. We get asked if we’d like to go with to a certain place, in a week’s time or so, and we say yes … not considering what God might want us to do on that day.

Now I don’t mean this in a sense of when asked to be at a leader’s meeting or church activity, or something important like that, but more in a sense of when asked to go to the mall, movies, outings, shopping, etc.

Often I’ve been in positions where, when asked by others to be somewhere with them, God gives me the go ahead and tells me to go with – and depending upon my attentiveness to the Holy Spirit’s leading – the outcome will be Him reaching/ministering to someone there.

And then there’s also been times when God has told me not to go with; but I disobeyed, and often it’s resulted in me having wasted my time there, and then having to stay up late to finish something I knew needed to be done.

What we should be doing is practicing lesson 1 and 2 (listening inwardly to what the Holy Spirit is telling you, whether He gives you the go ahead to do so or not – then based on the understanding of knowing your Identity; make that decision and be obedient to the Holy Spirit, irrespective of people’s opinion of you or how it might seem to othersGod knows best and He has a reason for telling you to make that decision)

Proverbs 2:6

For the Lord gives wisdom;
From His mouth come knowledge and understanding

Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.
