We're here today because of them

Good day

How different would life be if we lived with eternity in mind, to know that tomorrow might never come and all we had was today, to be and do all that we know God requires from us?

What if you were the only Christian in your city and God told you to preach the gospel and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and to teach them all things He commanded to you …

What if you had no church to go to,
No small group to attend,
No close Christian friends that you could hang out with

What if everyone you knew wasn’t serving God, where they didn't even know about Him and His love towards them ... and you were the only one tasked with the assignment to taking the gospel to them, to show them God’s love, and tell them about His love?

How would you carry out God’s commandment of reaching others and live a holy life before them … what would you do differently? How would it change/challenge your priorities? … what would you respond to such a request?

The truth is that the early disciples found themselves in such a situation and environment like the one described above ... all they had was each other and the Holy Spirit and look at what an amazing job they accomplished in their obedience to the commission of Jesus Christ (All by His grace, ability and anointing of course - by the Holy Spirit working in and through them)

The point is that we're here today because of them!

Someone out there, whether now, or many years from now, will say the same thing about you because of your obedience to the great commission, and availability and obedience to the Holy Spirit.

Let us be those people my friend. Amen!
