Not
only has God asked us to consult Him but He’s also placed people in our
lives that we should speak to concerning getting advice about things - these
could very well be those goals, ideas/projects, ministry, career, family
decisions, etc. (could be anything for that matter). These people could be your
parents, pastors, church leaders, or people who are knowledgeable about that
particular area.
See
the below scriptures:
Proverbs 13:10
By pride comes nothing but strife,
But with the well-advised is wisdom.
But with the well-advised is wisdom.
Proverbs 11:14
Where there is no counsel,
the people fall;
But in the multitude of counselors there is safety.
But in the multitude of counselors there is safety.
Proverbs 19:20
Listen to counsel and receive
instruction,
That you may be wise in your latter days.
That you may be wise in your latter days.
Proverbs 20:18
Plans are established by
counsel;
By wise counsel wage war.
By wise counsel wage war.
Proverbs 24:6
For by wise counsel you will wage your
own war,
And in a multitude of counselors there is safety.
And in a multitude of counselors there is safety.
Proverbs 15:22
Without counsel, plans go
awry,
But in the multitude of counselors they are established.
But in the multitude of counselors they are established.
So as you embark on your goals and projects for this
year, and might be faced with life changing decisions – remember to ask
God for His purpose/counsel/will on the matter – and then once
that’s established, seek advice from others on how to best go about
accomplishing those things.
Stay
Blessed my friend
