I want you to know that your destination is greater than your journey ... however ... you need your journey in order to get you to your destination.
Jesus had a destination – Joseph had a destination – David had a destination ... however, their journey wasn’t pleasant.
I don’t know where you’re at in your journey right not my friend ... maybe the road seems tough ... maybe there’s obstacles standing in your path ... whatever it is, God can turn it around for His glory and you can rest assured He’s got your victory at hand! ... The key is not to give up on your journey!
Joseph could’ve given up while on his journey. He faced many challenges and could easily have just given up on God’s dream for his life and I’m sure at times it might have seemed to him as though the dream would never come to pass; but praise God he never gave up and he reached his destination - which resulted in the saving of many lives in Israel.
David is another example. He had enough reason to question God’s call on his life and could’ve thrown in the towel at any moment – but he didn’t! He persevered! He pushed through! He remained obedient to God’s plan for his life and reached his destination ... which resulted in him being king over all of Israel, and through whose lineage Jesus Christ would be born!
Jesus could’ve given up while on His journey and none of us would be saved today! But praise God He persevered and reached His destination - which resulted in eternal life being made available to all who would receive it!
Imagine these men didn’t push through but rather gave up along the way, while on their journey ... think of the consequences ...
But praise God the success and importance of their destination far outweighed their journey! This is what they kept in mind ... and even if they didn’t realize it at first, it was also their journey that helped prepare them for that destination.
I don’t know where you’re at on your journey my friend but I want to encourage you to never give up – for God knows the plans He has towards you! Those are plans to prosper you and not to harm you! Plans to give you a future and a hope! ... So don’t give up on God – because He’s not giving up on you!
