Jesus is Lord - 1

Good day

I believe that God wants His people to arise to the call at hand. To arise above their challenges and discomforts. I believe He wants us to join Him in building His kingdom; to recognize that we need His grace to be upon us as we seek to get the job done. Jesus IS building His church! (Matthew 16:18) and He needs you and I to be on board with His agenda and His way of doing things and seeing them come to pass!

Jesus is Lord of the church

Ephesians 5:22
… Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body

1 Corinthians 12:27
Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually.

Colossians 1:15-18
He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence

In the above passages we can see that Jesus Christ is the head of the church, and that we are the body.

If you can imagine for one moment a body without a head, what could it possibly do besides just lie there and do nothing. The body is meaningless without the head! It cannot carry out any function or fulfill any purpose without the head! ... A body without a head will simply just rot away.

Now if you can imagine a head without a body. All the ideas, knowledge and plans in the brain. The ability to hear. The ability to see and have vision. The ability to declare and provide instruction and insight...just lying on the ground, unable to go anywhere or do fulfill any function or purpose, all because it has no body/vehicle to carry out its desires.

So we see here that both are needed if anything is ever to be accomplished.
