Good day
My friend, I want you to know that you don't have to face things alone.
God never intended for you to feel alone in any situation, or in any challenge you may be faced with.
In ALL things God promised to be with you!
Hebrews 13:5-6 NKJV
Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” So we may boldly say: “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?”
Joshua 1:9 NKJV
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
As seeing above, God is always with us as. There are however times when we feel as though He's not and we feel all alone, frustrated, discouraged and hopeless. The question is, has God left us, or are we making that decision because of how we feel in a given moment. This brings us to this statement - the truth of God's word is greater than our feelings. (This is a part of faith)
We shouldn't ask, where is God, but rather be asking ourselves, where is God concerning us drawing nearer to Him, for He promised to be with us.
Have you noticed though that someone can be with you, in the same room as you, but that you can still feel apart, as if you're not really that close?
The same holds true for us drawing closer to God. He is there. He promised to be there. Always! ... So why do we feel distant?
Does He need to draw any closer, or do we?
The bible answers that question in James 4:8, "Draw near to God and He will draw near to you."
There's the answer - when we draw near to God, He will draw near to us.
When you draw near to God, it's an indication to yourself, and to God, that you're no longer trying to fight your battles in your own strength, but that you're coming to seek His help, assistance and guidance. That you need Him more than what you're placing your trust in yourself and your resources, even the resources of others. We can see this in the below passage:
Jeremiah 17:5-8
Thus says the Lord: “Cursed is the man who trusts in man And makes flesh his strength, Whose heart departs from the Lord . For he shall be like a shrub in the desert, And shall not see when good comes, But shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, In a salt land which is not inhabited. “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord , And whose hope is the Lord . For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, Which spreads out its roots by the river, And will not fear when heat comes; But its leaf will be green, And will not be anxious in the year of drought, Nor will cease from yielding fruit.
Our Lord clearly says in John 15:4-5 that we need to abide in Him, so that we may bear much fruit, for apart from Him we can do nothing.
Ephesians 6:10 says that we must be strong in the Lord [be empowered through our union with Him]; drawing our strength from Him [that strength which His boundless might provides].
When we do so, we'll be like those described in Isaiah 26:3, "You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You."
There is no other way to live, but to depend upon the Lord.
When we live this way, we withstand the temptation to feel lonely and simultaneously, receive the breakthrough we're so desperately trusting God for.
When we do so, we should boldly be declaring the below verse over our lives, in any situation, and through any challenge. This is who we are!
Philippians 4:13 AMP
I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ's sufficiency].
He is with you!
Amen
