Good day
Recently while in prayer, the Holy Spirit put forward the question, what did Jesus die for? ... and then He answered the question - He died to reinstate relationship.
He then shared the following truth with me:
God valued relationship so highly that He was prepared to die for it. He came down to the earth, in the form of a man, laying aside His deity, walked among us, humbly, without any sin, demonstrating the kingdom of God, was rejected by man and was crucified on a cross, died and shed His blood for our sins, taking the punishment of sin that was due to us and purchased our salvation with His blood ... all so that we could have access to the Father once more - not through a high priest - but through direct RELATIONSHIP with Him
God valued relationship so highly that He was prepared to die for it ... do we value relationships the same way ... have we come to the point where would be prepared to die for the sake of a relationship?
What are we prepared to compromise, or which sacrifices are we prepared to make for the sake of a relationship?
How highly do we value relationships? What priority do we place on relationships?
God gave His life for it ... what hindrance, offence, grudge, difficulty, personality clashes, "not seeing eye to eye", "not getting along", behaviour patterns, bad conduct, bad character, bad habits, etc, etc, are we prepared to put up with and overlook the sake of a relationship?
This is just the approach and attitude towards accepting a relationship ... imagine still the level to which God not only accepts a relationship, but the degree to which He shows love towards that person that He has the relationship with (Whoa!)
God places an emphasis on relationship, and does whatever is needed to form, maintain and grow that relationship - irrespective of whether that person treats Him the same way or not ... let us do the same (above structures, hierarchy, positions, titles, etc - love has no bounds)
... just sharing what the Holy Spirit laid on my spirit during this time of prayer.
Stay Strong in the grace and love of God! He is faithful who promised and faithful towards you. Amen
