Good day
I was worshipping God earlier in the week, and at the end I was just saying the name of Jesus over and over again, and I sat down and just thanked Him for the decision He took that day to die for my sins, to take the punishment for my sin and to take my place in hell so that I don't have to spend eternity away from the presence of God.
I thanked Him for seeing me 2000 years in advance and taking my place so that I can receive mercy, forgiveness, patience, grace and love. That I can have eternal life, an eternal salvation and an eternity with Him ... then I carried on worshipping and eventually became quiet in the presence of God. Then the Holy Spirit started sharing the below with me:
Having your prayers answered or being able to speak words of faith is not special ... what's special is that God has decided to make those things available to us.
He is the Creator of the universe! The One who upholds ALL things by the word of His power! The One who counts the stars and calls them by name! The One who numbers the hairs on our head! The One who FILLS the Heavens and the Earth!!!
This One has decided that we could pray to Him and have Him answer our prayers, that we can lay hands on the sick and see them be healed, that we can speak life (words of faith) and see them manifest! ... He has decided!
I did not wake up this morning and suggest or come up with the idea that maybe prayer will work - He came up with the idea! He set the mandate! He made the rules!
The person who creates/comes up with the idea for a latest cellphone, probably takes it to the respective technicians, developers, programmers, etc. Within that company, and tells them how he wants to have it set up, listing all its functions and capabilities. Once that phone hits the market and we purchase it, we fully expect that phone to fulfill the function the company specified it could do.
If it doesn't, we take it back. The company is obligated to either repair it or replace it with one that fulfills those functions because the mandate/specifications said it could do so. We never came up with the idea for the phone to have a camera - they said it would have a camera! They made the decision, they made the rules and they are obligated to adhere to the rules they set in place!
In the same manner, God has set up the specifications in His manual (the bible). The word of God!
We didn't come up with the idea - He made the rules!
We didn't come up with the idea to pray, to speak, to lay hands, to make all grace abound so that we always have all sufficiency in all things and an abundance for every good work, to rebuke the devourer and pour out such blessing that there isn't room enough to contain it, to meet our needs, to help us, comfort us, deliver us, protect us, save us, love us! ... He came up with the idea!!! ... He set it in motion! .... This was His decision, not ours!!!!
What a relief; that just releases a whole bunch of pressure we may have placed on ourselves ... He came up with the idea, not us ... so stop trying to figure out how things will unfold or manifest ... it's His job to ensure that it comes to pass
(same with the example of the phone, if you take the phone back, you're not really interested in the technicalities of how it's been fixed, etc. The only thing you're concerned about it is when you're getting the phone) ... therefore you just do your part, stay in faith, for He is a rewarder for those who diligently seek Him.
At this point I again asked the Holy Spirit how this was relevant to my earlier worshipping of Jesus, and He said the special part is that God made the decision to have it this way ... He could've easily omitted a number of His promises of love towards us ... but He hasn't ... Instead we find that we have everything we need to live a successful and victorious born again, abundant life! Here, now, while on the Earth ... all because God decided (HE MADE THE CHOICE) that it be this way!
What love the Father has for us ... based on that, It just makes you want to worship all the more.
