Prayer for Peace

Good day

In the week I was led to pray the following prayer in our small group meeting, and upon wanting to share it, I believe the Holy Spirit wanted me to share it with you as well.

"Heavenly Father I just thank you for your peace right now. I believe this is the word you've given me and therefore I just release and pray this over every person right now. I pray that they will experience your peace; that mentally they will be at peace, emotionally they will be at peace. I don't know what they may be faced with but I just thank you right now that they can set their mind and focus on you. I thank you for giving them a positive outlook, thank you that they can be optimistic about tomorrow. Thank you that they can walk around with a smile on their face, regardless of what's happening around them. I thank you for your comfort and for your peace right now, for filling them with joy. I believe that what you have spoken will come to pass. I thank you that your word will not return to you void but it will accomplish what you please and prosper in the thing for which you've sent it (Isaiah 55:10-11); that you watch over your word to perform it (Jeremiah 1:12), so I thank you for this, in Jesus name, amen"

Please share this prayer with others whom you feel may be in need of it and ask them to come into agreement with it and believe that God will carry out what He has spoken!

Please see below scriptures as encouragement for us to know that God offers us His peace; not necessarily a peaceful environment even though we can trust Him for that, but peace in the midst of whatever challenges we may be faced with or whatever may be happening around us. There's a song by Matt Redman which captures this nicely where one of the verses reads, "And so when I am in the storm, Lord the storm is not in me, You will be my peace...", amen.

Psalm 29:11
The Lord gives strength to his people; the Lord blesses His people with peace.

Matthew 11:28
Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest”

John 14:27
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

John 16:33
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

2 Thessalonians 3:16
Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.

Isaiah 26:3
You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.

Romans 15:13
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Philippians 4:6,7
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Amen
