The Foundation we have

Good day

I trust you're doing well. I just want to take the time to share something brief with you that I believe the Lord highlighted for me in the week that I believe will serve as an encouragement for all of us, and that is for us to know the following:

We have a foundation on which we stand, on which to fall back on and on which to build from. That foundation is the Lord's love, goodness, mercy and faithfulness.

When we fall, slip up or stumble, we fall back on His mercy, goodness and faithfulness. We have this foundation which is immovable, unshakable and never changing. It's the reassurance that when we fall, this is what we fall back on!

There is also no greater foundation on which to build from!

... but just like the building of a structure in the natural, we don't get ahead of ourselves while building, yes we plan ahead but we start from the ground up and focus on one area and then move onto the next - there's a sequence that is followed, and I believe the Lord wants to make known to us what that next step/thing is (the area that He'd like us to focus on next); so let's trust Him with that. Let's expect His guidance on it and allow Him to show us which area to work on next ... but again, all based on the foundation that God is good, merciful and faithful. On a foundation like that, there is only one way to build, and that is upward/forward! so let's allow the "Architect" and "Master Builder" to direct us/show us what He wants us to give attention to.

It is also the foundation on which we Arise! ... The foundation on which we Arise in Hope, Vision and Priority for the future! ... This foundation of God's goodness, love and mercy is what fuels our faith for a better tomorrow, a better outcome, to know that everything will be ok. That we can be hopeful about tomorrow. We arise and are expectant for greater things because we have this sure foundation on which to look ahead from.

We have this foundation my friend! Jesus Christ is our foundation (1 Corinthians 3:11), He is also the Chief Cornerstone ("The cornerstone or setting stone, is the first stone set in the construction of a masonry foundation. All other stones will be set in reference to this stone, thus determining the position of the entire structure") (Ephesians 2:20); not only that - He is also the one whose words form the building blocks of our lives (Matthew 7:24-27)

So let's be encouraged by this word my friend: we have this foundation on which we stand, on which to fall back on, and on which to build from. This foundation is the Lord's love, goodness, mercy and faithfulness; and it propels us to move forward!

Amen
