Good day
I would like to share the below message with you based on an example I believe God recently shared with me about a car needing fuel.
In order for a vehicle to function in all its glory and accomplish what it was destined for, it needs to have fuel.
Yes it can be towed or pushed but that requires effort on behalf of another and it can become tiresome. It was never the intention for the vehicle to be pushed in order to get it to its destination, yes it can require a push or a tow from time to time, but that's not how it was designed to last or thrive... It needs fuel in order to sustain itself.
Some might say that it's ok for a vehicle to remain stationary, I mean, at least it's a vehicle, it's parked safely in the garage, it's polished from time to time so that it continues to look nice... But then that's all it is, a vehicle that looks good by appearance but never actually goes onto the road and fulfills what it was created for... Eventually it becomes an ornament and never gets put to any real use rendering it ineffective for the user/owner.
We determine what type of vehicle we want to be for the glory of God.
Are we the vehicle that constantly chooses to stay in the "garage" (in the comfort of our little world) and look nice from afar, and never actually venture out or dare to pray and ask God what He'd like to do with our lives... We're just there, in the background, comfortable, where it's easy and convenient... But not really of any use to its owner... Not wanting to be fuelled.
Or are we the type of vehicle that constantly requires a push or a tow and never seeks to fuel itself, always dependent on the efforts of others to carry it along.
Or are we the type of vehicle that actually intends on fulfilling what it was created and destined for. To be on the road, reaching its destination, achieving its purpose; where we constantly seek to fuel ourselves so that we never get stuck, never lose momentum, never having to slow down, and therefore always available to the owner for whatever He wishes, whenever He wishes.
Fuel is available to us and all around us, it comes in the form of a pastor, small group leader, it's members, the right friends, online teachings, our bibles, Christian books, prayer, worship, etc. These things must never be taken for granted because there are others who don't know or have access to what we do so there's no reason not to be fuelled ... But the decision lies with us in terms of what type of vehicle we choose to be for our Father's purposes and glory, and we'll be held accountable for that choice.
I trust this message will encourage you to give some serious thought to the type of vehicle you want to be for God and to commit it before Him in prayer, reliant on His love to see you become everything He has destined for you.
This is His desire for you.
Amen
