Regarding the series that was recently sent out (20/20: Seen. Chosen. Sent by Christine Caine), I had a chat recently with some friends and I was speaking about a new superhero movie that's coming out where the hero doesn't realize the extent of his power and the potential that it carries. However, once he becomes aware this, it makes him realise that what he once thought was mediocre/average now carries great responsibility
The hero becomes aware of the fact that the power is there for a reason.
That there's a purpose for that power!
... and coming back to the series; as children of God, once we've received Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we now have the ultimate power alive on the inside of us in the Person of the Holy Spirit. We are bearers/vessels/vehicles of His presence and power ... and He's there for a reason ... We are His vessels and should be surrendered to Him so that He can carry out the works and assignments of God (which was detailed in this past series)
Because of the Holy Spirit, we are more than capable of doing what needs to be done...by this I mean that if the entire body of Christ did what they were supposed to do I believe that most of what goes wrong today in our society can be rectified, fixed and resolved ... But it takes everyone to bring their part.
I personally believe that because we're capable of achieving all of this through His Spirit and grace, I can imagine us being held accountable one day before God for what's been entrusted to us.
Luke 12:48
Every servant who does not know his master’s will and unwittingly does what is wrong will receive a less severe punishment. For those who have received a greater revelation from their master are required a greater obedience. And those who have been entrusted with great responsibility will be held more responsible to their master.”
The power/enablement is there for a purpose and I believe we carry a great responsibility to obey the call...to "be the hands and feet of Christ" on the Earth today.
It's a responsibility we should all personally embrace!
This is something that we can pray to God about and trust Him for His help in this area, and then expect Him to bring it to pass in and through our lives!
It's a big responsibility, but not in a scary way that we should run from it, but rather encouraging because we know that through Him, we can do it!
Amen ... Let's be those people!
