Good day
Recently the Holy Spirit brought the below passage to my attention and I believe the encouragement he wants me to share with you from this is that God will do what He wills - If God said He'll do something then He'll do it.
Isaiah 46:3-11 NLT
“Listen to me, descendants of Jacob, all you who remain in Israel. I have cared for you since you were born. Yes, I carried you before you were born. I will be your God throughout your lifetime— until your hair is white with age. I made you, and I will care for you. I will carry you along and save you. “To whom will you compare me? Who is my equal? Some people pour out their silver and gold and hire a craftsman to make a god from it. Then they bow down and worship it! They carry it around on their shoulders, and when they set it down, it stays there. It can’t even move! And when someone prays to it, there is no answer. It can’t rescue anyone from trouble. “Do not forget this! Keep it in mind! Remember this, you guilty ones. Remember the things I have done in the past. For I alone am God! I am God, and there is none like me. Only I can tell you the future before it even happens. Everything I plan will come to pass, for I do whatever I wish. I will call a swift bird of prey from the east— a leader from a distant land to come and do my bidding. I have said what I would do, and I will do it.
For some, maybe the year didn't go as planned, maybe it's been a roller coaster ride with many ups and downs and as we enter the new year, maybe things don't look any different going forward. There may still be some doubts or uncertainties, and it brings along with it feelings of anxiety, worry and frustration. The encouragement I believe God wants you to know is that regardless of the past or present, regardless of the environment, circumstances, or whatever may be happening around us - if God said He'll do something, He will - if God has given you a word or promise, He will bring it to pass!
Our part is to believe in Him!
I want to encourage you to take on a new perspective, that regardless of how things may have been this past year or what tomorrow may look like because of it, choose to turn your attention to God, get back into the habit of praying and reading the bible, start listening to praise and worship and be sincere in your worship, giving Him thanks for His love and faithfulness towards you, start attending church again, get in contact with that friend from church that you used to spend time with, that could encourage you and pray for you.
Right now, God is reminding you that He will do/He will finish/He will accomplish - what He said He would! - we need to believe in Him!
Please see below scriptures as further encouragement:
Psalms 27:13-14 NKJV
I would have lost heart, unless I had believed That I would see the goodness of the Lord In the land of the living. Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord!
Psalms 34:8 NKJV
Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!
Psalms 84:11-12 NIV
For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless. Lord Almighty, blessed is the one who trusts in you.
