Is Faith important? - Part 1

Good day

This is a start of a new series about faith and trusting in God.

As an introduction, I'd like to start off with the question posed in the title of today's message, "is Faith important?" ... let's find out:

In Luke 18:8 Jesus makes the following statement, "... when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?"

Now when we look at this statement, we can interpret it as though Jesus is stating that faith is something that may be lacking upon His return to the Earth. Meaning people won't truly be living by faith, practicing their faith or trusting in God (as seeing in the example of the persistent widow on which that passage is based)

The bible also says in Hebrews 11:6 that without faith it is impossible to please Him (God), for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

This tells us that faith is important.
That it's something we need to safeguard and protect.
That it's something the devil is after.

If faith pleases God, and faith is something Jesus said may be lacking on the Earth upon His return, then the answer to the question is "Yes, Faith in important." Because of this, it's important that we seek to have an understanding of what faith is and how to live by faith.

Amen
