Good day
2 Corinthians 12:9-10 AMP
but He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you [My loving kindness and My mercy are more than enough--always available--regardless of the situation]; for [My] power is being perfected [and is completed and shows itself most effectively] in [your] weakness." Therefore, I will all the more gladly boast in my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ [may completely enfold me and] may dwell in me. So I am well pleased with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, and with difficulties, for the sake of Christ; for when I am weak [in human strength], then I am strong [truly able, truly powerful, truly drawing from God’s strength].
Hallelujah!
When do we see the power of Christ rest upon us? When do we see His grace in action? - When we humble ourselves before Him and declare (Paul even says "gladly boast in") our weaknesses.
There's nothing wrong with declaring our weaknesses before God and admitting that we need His help; that there's so many things we can't do in our own strength or ability ... in fact, we can gladly boast in these things.
We can admit that we're not the sharpest tool in the shed; that we don't always have the strength to do certain things; that we don't always know what to say or may struggle with being shy; that we struggle with certain temptations; struggle with building relationships; struggle with our thoughts (anxiety, worry, etc.); struggle on the job; find it difficult to be parents, partners, spouses ... the list can go on and on.
What should we do when we consider all these weaknesses? - God's Grace is Sufficient and His Power is made perfect in our weaknesses!!! ... therefore all the more gladly will we boast (not hide, not cover up, not deceive ourselves, not be proud - but be open before God) about our weaknesses - so that the power of Christ may rest upon us! For when we are weak [in human strength], then we are strong [truly able, truly powerful, truly drawing from God’s strength].
James 4:6
But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.”
I Corinthians 15:10
But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.
Hebrews 4:16
Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
... Now we're in a position to learn and study God's word/promises concerning our areas of weaknesses and can place our trust in Him to show us how to use His word to succeed and rise above anything that comes our way or whatever challenges we may be faced with! (Joshua 1:7-9) ... all by His grace!
My friend, know that no matter what you may be faced with or going through, He says that His grace is sufficient for you! and that His power is made perfect in your weaknesses!
Amen!
