Good day
As we look back on this past year, we can thank God that even if we didn't get to where we'd hope to be or do all the things we set out to accomplish, one thing we can be sure of is that God has been faithful to us and carried us through all the same!
It's a good time of the year to reflect back with a grateful heart and be thankful for all those little things we so easily overlook and often take for granted. For example:
We can thank God we have family that is there to love and support us.
Thank God for an income that has been able to sustain us throughout the year.
Thank God for health,
For a roof over our heads, for running water and electricity,
For the luxury of having to purchase food, clothing and shoes.
Thank God for friends to cherish and enjoy special moments with.
Thank God for protecting our loved ones.
Thank God for a church we could attend without any threat of been attacked or persecuted.
Thank God that the gospel of Jesus Christ can be so freely expressed and shared in our nation.
I'm sure there are more things to mention but I'd also like to point out that it would be worthwhile thanking the people in our lives that helped/continues to help us enjoy the happiness and success that we currently experience.
As we look back on this year, let us be thankful and give God the honour for all that we have and all we can look forward to - knowing that the same God who has always been there for us throughout the year, is the same God who will cause us to succeed and carry on into 2020 and in the years to come. Amen!
Hebrews 13:8
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
Hebrews:13:4
"... God has said,“Never will I leave you;never will I forsake you."
Joshua 1:9
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
Psalm 33:13-22
Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people he chose for his inheritance.
From heaven the Lord looks down and sees all mankind;
from his dwelling place he watches all who live on earth—he who forms the hearts of all, who considers everything they do.
No king is saved by the size of his army; no warrior escapes by his great strength.
A horse is a vain hope for deliverance; despite all its great strength it cannot save.
But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing love,
to deliver them from death and keep them alive in famine.
We wait in hope for the Lord; he is our help and our shield.
In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name.
May your unfailing love be with us, Lord, even as we put our hope in you.
