Prayer & Evangelism Part 14 - Conclusion

I trust that this series has helped us to see that one of the most effective ways we can accomplish this is through prayer, and the important role prayer plays in evangelism.

We can see the value the Apostle Paul placed on prayer by the following scriptures, and we should be encouraged to have this same commitment towards prayer:

Rom 1:9,10 (NIV): "how constantly I remember you in my prayers at all times…"
1 Thes 3:10 (NIV):"Night and day we pray most earnestly..."
Col 1:9 (NIV):"....We have not stopped praying for you..."
2 Thes 1:11 (NIV): "We constantly pray for you..."

We must pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in our prayers for all believers everywhere - Ephesians 6:18 (NLT)

The following verses can be used as a confession/declaration for those you're trusting God with:

Father, I thank you that you make them increase and abound in love to one another and to all. That You may establish their hearts blameless in holiness before You, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all His saints - I Thessalonians 3:12‭-‬13

I thank you that you would count them worthy of this calling, and fulfill all the good pleasure of Your goodness and the work of faith with power, that the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in them, and them in You, according to Your grace - II Thessalonians 1:11‭-‬12

I thank you that they are filled with the knowledge of Your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that they may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing You, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all might, according to Your glorious power - Colossians 1:9‭-‬12

I thank you that their love may abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment, that they may approve the things that are excellent, that they may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ, being filled with the fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God - Philippians 1:9‭-‬11

I thank you that they have the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of God, that the eyes of their understanding is enlightened; that they may know what is the hope of Your calling, what are the riches of the glory of Your inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of Your power toward us who believe, according to the working of Your mighty power - Ephesians 1:15‭-‬19

I thank you that you would grant them, according to the riches of Your glory, to be strengthened with might through Your Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in their hearts through faith; that they, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that they may be filled with all the fullness of God - Ephesians 3:14‭-‬19

I thank you that as we pray for them, in the midst of an attack by the enemy, that their faith would not fail - Luke 22:31‭-‬32

I thank you that you make them complete in every good work to do Your will, working in them what is well pleasing in Your sight, through Jesus Christ - Hebrews 13:20‭-‬21

I thank you that as we labour fervently in prayers for them, that they stand perfect and complete in all the will of God - Colossians 4:12

So let’s be doers of God’s word and be a people committed to prayer, and encourage others to do the same. Amen
