Part 15 - Know your Potential

Good day

Today's message is the final part in this series and in it I'll be discussing the importance of recognizing one's potential.

I believe that one of the reasons why we don't pursue intimacy with God like we should is because we often don't see the end result of where God is taking us. You see my friend, God sees the big picture. He knows the end of our story. He knows what He has destined for us. He knows what He wants to see accomplished and fulfilled in our time on the Earth. The challenge is that we don't necessarily see this same outcome or end result. We only see our lives as it is right now and not where God wants/needs us to be in 20 to 40 years from now nor the lasting impact our lives is meant to have on the generations to follow.

🔵 We don't see the full extent of the legacy we're meant to leave behind.

🔵 We don't see the next president and government officials that we're meant to be raising.

🔵 We don't see all the people we're meant to help - the drug addicts, the street children, those trapped in gangsterism or prostitution, trafficking, children's homes, etc.

🔵 We don't see the churches, the ministries or the organizations that we're meant to oversee which would make a difference to our neighbourhoods, schools, hospitals and various other sectors that make up our society - and all the families that it would reach and impact.

... Not to mention the lasting impact that all of this may have on generations to come.
... all as a result of us being on this planet and obeying God's plan for our lives.

Can you imagine how many of the above goes undone because people don't pursue God like they should or seek His will for their lives ... how many needs go unmet ... how many problems exist in our society ... how many souls end up going to hell ... all because people don't take the will of God seriously for their lives. This happens when people don't pursue intimacy with Him.

So as we look back on some of the topics covered in this series, if you believe that God has prompted you to reflect on what your time with Him looks like, or on things you can do to help develop your intimacy with Him, or to improve on your Bible reading, times of prayer, praise and worship or by becoming a member of a local church - or whether it be breaking free of regret, establishing what your ambitions are or focusing on how you can change your current experience - whatever it may be, know that one of the reasons why He's asking you to do this is because He knows your potential. He sees the many lives that you're meant to impact one day and that's why He needs you to give attention to these things ... To "slow down", take a break, be lazy or intentionally delay giving attention to these things carries consequence because people's lives and eternal salvation are at stake.

It's like stepping up a ladder. God is directing each step, and with each step, we'll be stepping closer and closer to the desired outcome God wants for our lives ... and here's another thing, we may not always know why that step is important; we sometimes cannot see it's relevance or weight of importance in the bigger scheme of things, but the thing is that God does! and we need to trust Him every step of the way! (Proverbs 3:5-6)

So as I finish off this message, I may be sending it to a future president or government official, the inventor of the next ground breaking discovery, the next pastor or leader of a major organization that will meet the needs of many people as described further above, or someone who will reach millions with the gospel of Jesus Christ - or I may be sending this message to the parent or grandparent of such a person. You may be someone who could be directly or indirectly responsible for such an outcome, all because you believed in developing intimacy with God and were obedient to whichever assignment God has given you to do ...

Not only that, I'm also sending this message to someone who has the potential to affect this type of change in the lives of people they come into contact with!

The potential of what God can go on to accomplish through your life should spur you on and encourage you to stay focused and committed to doing all that you know He's requiring of you ... and to continue developing intimacy with Him.

I trust you enjoyed this series and that you were able to share it with others as well.

Recently in a time of prayer, I had a strong desire to experience more with God and seek Him on what's next (to be more effective, to seek His will even more than before, to experience more with Him) ... To go to "the next level" ... And I believe the Holy Spirit wanted me to share this with you as well - that it's time for your upgrade - that it's time for you to experience your next level.

When I received this, a song called "more than able" was playing at the time and the words that stood out was the following, "He's not done with me yet... There's so much more to the story... Who am I to deny what the Lord can do"... This resonated with what I believe God was sharing... That He's not done with us - that there's more to our story ... So let's not place a limitation on what God wants to do in our lives, where God is desiring to take us and the progress He desires to see - for who are we to deny what the Lord can do!

My friend, I want you to know that it's time for your upgrade ... It's time for your next level.

Let's continue to walk in everything God desires for our lives. Amen

Thank you Lord
